About Oslo Fringe
A platform for Norwegian and international performing arts
OSLO FRINGE first saw the light of day in 2021, with 48 performances by young and promising performing artists in the summer heat at SALT.
The festival returns for its fifth edition from 9-13 September 2026. With a new and exciting partner, we are lifting the festival experience for artists and audiences into something even better, while keeping the art at the centre.
OSLO FRINGE is divided into three parts. Most artists apply and are selected through our open calls. In addition, we contact several companies, both national and international, that we truly want to showcase. Last but not least, we dedicate one day to presenting the newly graduated actors from this year's graduating class.
This year we received more than 700 registered performances from all over the world.
Our goal
OSLO FRINGE brings together and lifts Norwegian performing artists and fringe groups. We nurture local heroes and strengthen the independent performing arts scene in Oslo, while inviting inspiring international artists.
We are open to all genres, themes, communities, and venues. Audiences meet new voices, and performing artists meet peers in relaxed surroundings, laying the foundation for future projects.
